Obituary for Erma Faye Rena
Erma Faye Rena, 62, of East Peoria passed away on Monday August 10, 2009 at he residence. Born in Dupree, SD on August 18, 1946 to Albert and Mayme Poppen Frankfurth. She married Thomas J. Rena in Peoria on June 9, 1979, he survives along with children; Barbara (Fred) Baver of Louisville, KY, Tammy (Terry) Redshaw of Peoria, Theresa (Danny) Parson of Roanoke, Thomas (Anna) Rena of Bloomington, siblings; Eugene (Pat) Frankfurth of Bowdle, SD, Lois (Creig) Lingle of Kalispell, MT, Barbara Frankfurth of Sioux Falls, SD, Edna (Jack) Bieber of Douglas, WY, Linda (Robert) Walker of Kansas City, MO and her 10 grand and 4 great grandchildren. Her parents preceded her in death. She was a Factory Worker at Caterpillar, retiring in 2004. Erma belonged to the Hillcrest Golf League and enjoyed cross-stitching, golfing, shopping with her girlfriends in Florida, fishing and especially enjoyed her time with the family, grandchildren and her friends. She also was a volunteer at Central Illinois Riding Therapy. Erma was a member of the Highview Church of God, 2442 Centennial Dr. Washington where a memorial service will be held on Saturday August 15, at noon. The Rev. Richard Fitzwater will officiate with Fellowship to follow the service at the church. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service also at the church. The family would like to thank OSF Hospice for their care and compassion. Memorials may be made to her church or OSF Hospice. The Cremation Society of Mid-Illinois Co. Pekin/Peoria is assisting the family with arrangements.
