Obituary for Elmer Broeker
Elmer William Broeker 91, of Washington passed away Thursday February 3, 2011 at Washington Christian Village. He was born September 5, 1919 to August and Anna Zurheide Broeker in St. Louis, MO. He married Mary Louise Yokel February 21, 1948 in Evansville, IN. She survives along with his daughters; Janet Louise (Devin) Croft of Littleton, CO, Judith Elaine Broeker of Boulder, CO and son; Paul Edward (Shirley) Broeker of Burlingame, CA. He is also survived by his 6 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter. He was preceded in death by his parents. Elmer served in the U.S. Army. He worked for Caterpillar retiring January 31, 1986. Cremation has been accorded and a Memorial Service will be held Saturday February 12, 2011 at 11 am at Cross Roads United Methodist Church in Washington, with a visitation 1 hour prior at the church.
