Obituary for Ellery King
Ellery B. King 82, of Elmwood passed away Tuesday July 19, 2011 at Farmington Country Manor. He was born April 14, 1929 in Lock Haven, PA to W. Clair and Hazel McClosky King. He married Marilou Howard in Elmwood on July 6, 1957, she preceded him in death November 28, 2009. He was also preceded in death by his parents and step grandchild; John Schoonover. He is survived by his children Jennifer Wilson of Farmington, IL, Butch (Darlene) King of London Mills, IL, Jim (Glynis) King of Springboro, OH, Terri (Ben) German of Yates City, IL, brother; Clair (Patsy) King of Bellefonte, PA and sister; Dorothy Thiel of Lock Haven, PA. He is also survived by his 5 grandchildren; Ashley and Kyle King, Bobby German, Jacob Wilson, Matt McMahill, 3 step grandchildren; Amy Wright, Nick German and Carolyn Trone and 2 step great-grandchildren; Hannah and Karli Wright. Ellery served in the U.S. Air Force. He worked for Caterpillar for 28 years retiring April 1, 1994. He was a member of the American Legion Post 638 in Elmwood, and the U.A.W. Local 974. He loved volunteering his time at Faith Bible Camp and was an avid Penn State football fan. Ellery is now in Heaven with his wife and Lord and Savior. Cremation has been accorded and a Memorial Service will be held at his Church, the Evangelical Free Church 1300 E. Chestnut Street in Canton Tuesday July 26, 2011 at 11am. Pastor Mike Barr will officiate. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Faith Bible Camp in Yates City.
