Obituary for Elizabeth Svob
Elizabeth “GG” F. Svob, 95, of Washington formerly of Peoria passed away Monday, April 23, 2018 at her residence. She was born July 11, 1922 in Peoria to Hugh and Clara Anders Knott. She married Anthony J. Svob in Peoria in 1941; he preceded her in death in 1990. Her son, Anthony Svob Jr.; parents; one brother and two sisters also preceded her in death. She is survived by her daughter, Judith (Carlie) Franklin of Washington; daughter-in-law, Connie Svob of Pond Creek, OK; three grandchildren; three step-grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Elizabeth was a homemaker, member of Royal Neighbors and cooked for Fireside Nursing Home, Fondulac Nursing Home and a Bradley Sorority House. She enjoyed crafts, music, playing the organ, cooking and baking. She loved her family very much and was known as the Queen Matriarch and was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Cremation has been accorded and graveside services will be held at Parkview Cemetery Mausoleum at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 12, 2018. Memorials may be made in her name to a walk she was very active in, the Mark Linder Walk For The Mind.
