Elizabeth M. Lowder, 68, of Deer Creek passed away Wednesday, April 6, 2022, at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria.
She was born December 15, 1953, in Peoria to James and Dorothy Lamorder Simpson. Her parents preceded her in death.
She is survived by her daughter, Jessica (Toby) Bragg; grandchildren, Matt (Christine) Parrott, Justin Parrott; great-grandchildren, Nolan, Kayla, Addison; siblings, Jim (Jeanie) Simpson, Theresa (Perry) Malone, Sarah (Don) Randolph, Karen (Dave) Shropshire, Amanda (Greg) Smith, Dave (Debbie) Turk and many nieces and nephews.
Elizabeth worked as a Substance Abuse Counselor for Fayette Human Service Center retiring in 2017. She celebrated 26 years of sobriety and devoted her life to helping others.
She loved her family and grandchildren. She loved to travel and enjoyed gardening, fishing, playing bingo and visiting the casino.
Cremation has been accorded and a celebration of life will be planned for a later date.
