Obituary for Eleanore Pecenka
Eleanore J. Pecenka, 75, of Washington passed away Sunday July 22, 2012 at her residence. She was born October 19, 1936 in Pittsburgh, PA to Sebastiano and Anne Cersoli Peluso. She married Delmer Pecenka in March 1958 in Pittsburgh, PA. He preceded her in death October 10, 2008. She was also preceded in death by her parents; sister, Jenny Lucci and brother, Samuel Peluso. She is survived by her children, Del (Terrie) Pecenka of Washington, Diane Pecenka of Peoria, Donna (Murl) Schmidt of Washington, John (Kathy) Pecenka of Peoria Heights; grandchildren, Sean, Eric, Christopher, Brittany, Jason, Michael, Alisha, Andrea; five great-grandchildren; sister, Sylvia Hutchko of Carnegie, PA and several nieces and nephews. Eleanore was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Washington. She loved raising her four children and babysitting her grandchildren. Cremation has been accorded and a Celebration of Life will be held Sunday July 29, 2012 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Eleanore’s home in Washington. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society in her name.
