Edna Lorraine Loy, 101, of Peoria passed away Wednesday, December 29, 2021, at River Crossing of Peoria.
She was born September 27, 1920, in Mason City to Edward and Effie Hagen Schulz.
She married Thurman Clayton Loy June 24, 1941, in Peoria; he preceded her in death April 11, 2002. Her parents; brothers, Alfred Schulz, Herbert Schulz, Stanley Schulz and sisters, Ruby Zessin, Helen Entwistle, Imogene Schneider, Eva Mae Bitner and Bonnie Strader also preceded her in death.
She is survived by her daughter, Sherry (John) Hughbanks of Olive Branch, MS; grandson, John C. (Heather) Hughbanks of Southaven, MS; great-granddaughters, Loren Hughbanks of Southaven, MS, Avery Hughbanks of Southaven, MS and twenty-seven nieces and nephews.
Edna worked as a volunteer “Pink Lady” at Proctor Hospital for 26 years, last working when she was 89. She worked at Letourneau Co. in Peoria during WWII producing shells for Howitzers.
She loved gardening, traveling and her family.
Cremation has been accorded and no services will be held.
