Douglas (Doug) Lawrence Lopez, 74, of South Pekin, IL passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, December 24, 2025, surrounded by his immediate family.
Doug was a retired member of Local 17; he was a member for 35 years as an insulator.
He was an avid pool player. Doug and Linda loved their passion for the love of the church. Doug became a teacher to teach the love of Eck!
Doug was preceded in death by his parents, Jay and Dorothy Lopez; one brother, Guy Lopez and one nephew, Schuyler Lopez.
He is survived by his loving wife, Linda Lopez; two sons, Ty (Michelle) Lopez, Chad (Angie) Lopez; one daughter, Nicole (John) Bowman; nine grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; two brothers, Gordon Lopez, Micheal (Mindy) Lopez; one sister, Becky Agee, as well as many friends and extended family members who will miss him dearly.
Per his wishes cremation has been accorded and no services will be held.
