Obituary for Donna Reid
Donna Reid 89, of Pekin passed away on November 20, 2009 at Hallmark House Nursing Center. Born in Strawberry, AR on November 10, 1920 to Ardell and Sarah “Sally” Arnold Sullivan. She married Lowell S. Reid in Blytheville, AR on December 31, 1944. He preceded her in death on July 1, 2004. Her parents and 7 brothers and sisters also preceded her in death. Donna is survived by her children: Gene V. Busby of Las Vegas, NV, Phyllis (Jerry) Davis of Carl Junction, MO, Janet (John) Smith of Marquette Heights, and Cheryl (Robert) Williams of Pekin. She is also survived by her 16 grand, 21 great grandchildren, several step great grandchildren and several nieces. Donna was a Homemaker, attended Riverside Community Church, enjoyed baking and was an avid shopper. A visitation will be held at Abts Mortuary on Sunday November 22, from 2 to 4 p.m. Additional visitation will be held on Monday the 23

from 12 to 1 p.m. with a funeral service at 1 p.m. at the Bluff Springs Methodist Church in Canton MO. Burial will be in Day Cemetery in Clark Co. Mo following the service. Memorial may be made to Riverside Community Church or T.A.P.S. Abts Mortuary has been entrusted with the funeral arrangements.
