Obituary for Donald Greer
Donald Dene Greer, 82, of East Peoria passed away Tuesday May 8, 2012 at Kindred Hospital in Peoria. He was born March 6, 1930 in Waynesville, MO to Wilmer and Bessie Robinson Greer. He married Katherine Louis Brady September 17, 1949 in Waynesville, MO. He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; brother, Virgil and sister, Pansy. He is survived by his children, Carol Sue (John) Nolte of Washington, Peggy (Phillip Payne) Lane of Washington, Dana (James Sendker) Nolte of Lancaster, NY; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is also survived by five brothers, James, William, Cecil, Clarence, Erwin and three sisters, Ida Mae, Linda and Debbie. Donald worked for Caterpillar for over 30 years retiring in 1979. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and playing the guitar. Per his wishes cremation has been accorded and private family services will be held. Memorials may be made to the Leukemia Foundation in his name. The family would like to thank Kindred Hospital and Dr. Maher Ahmad for their care and compassion.
