Donald Gort, of Peoria, IL, left this earthy life on Friday, August 22, 2012, at Unity Point Medical Center in Peoria, IL
Donald was the co-owner of Electronics Diversified (EDI) where he enjoyed working with his best friend and partner, Donald Baker, to do what he loved most-listening to; making music, and helping others do the same by installing high quality sound. Don also worked at WTVP and other public television stations in the area.
Don was born in Peoria, IL on November 14, 1952, to the union of Soloman and Leona Gort. He was the youngest child of eight born to this union. Don is survived by one sister, Shirley Mallory of Gaithersburg, MD; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. Don was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and three sisters.
Cremation has been accorded and to Don’s wishes, no official services will be held
