Obituary for Donald E. Worlow
Donald E. Worlow of North Pekin. On Friday, March 26th, 2021, as Don had a house full of his family and loved ones, comfortable and warm in his bed, he had the luxury of dying of natural causes in his sleep at 80 years old.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald Worlow and Ruby Dalrymple; his brothers, Jim Worlow and Cliff Dalrymple; his sisters, Judy Mullens and Nancy Ross; and many beloved friends.

He married Charlotte Gingras on February 17th, 1979. She survives.

Also surviving are his children, Donny (Sharie) Worlow of Peoria, IL; Johnny Worlow of Marquette Heights, IL; Greg Worlow of Pekin, IL; Kenny (Charlene) Worlow of Pekin, IL; Angie (Limo) Lindberg of Flippin, AR; Stephanie (Alexis) Whitman of Dunlap, IL; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and more chosen family members than one can count.

Don retired in 2001 after working 42 years as a heavy equipment operator out of local #649 in Peoria, IL for various companies. He was a lifetime member of the Sons of AMVETS post #169 in North Pekin, IL, one of his favorite places to grab a cold Bud Light after work, or after he got rained out and picked Stephanie up from school. He was a Master Mason at the Frank Nichol Lodge in Creve Coeur, IL. He was a beloved member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie Peoria #265 and Pekin #1869 and will greatly be missed playing his favorite songs on the jukebox, singing karaoke, or whistling to his music while sitting at the slot machines racking up the dough.

The greatest joys in his life second to his family, were fishing, music, and working on cars with his brother Jim, before his passing so many years ago. Don owned 14 Cadillacs in his lifetime and an unknown number of vans. He also loved going to Fiestas in Peoria where he was known as the little gringo in certain circles. He was not able to walk so well as he aged, but he did not need to walk far to have Charlotte drive him down to the local Darcy’s and play the slot machines for hours at a time. On nice days, he could be seen sitting on the swing in the garage with or without Charlotte, watching his little hummingbirds flitter and chitter around the feeders and flowers.

Don will greatly be missed by so many. There will be no services, as he will be cremated. However, there will be a Celebration of Life at the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie Peoria #265 at 1704 South East Lane, Peoria, IL on Saturday, May 8th, 2021 starting at 2pm.

The Cremation Society of Mid-Illinois Co. Pekin/Peoria is assisting the family with arrangements. Online condolences may be made at csmico.com
