Obituary for Dixie Adkins
Dixie Lynn Adkins, 67, of West Peoria passed away Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. She was born March 4, 1947 in Peoria to Richard and Wanda Nunnally Whitman Sr. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Dana Whitman and sister, Donna Updike. She is survived by her siblings, Richard (Mary) Whitman Jr. of Bartonville, Diana Maddox of Bartonville, Dennis (Julee) Whitman of Peoria, David Whitman of Glasford and numerous nieces and nephews. Dixie enjoyed playing bingo, knitting and Facebook. She was a loving sister and aunt and will be dearly missed. Cremation has been accorded and per her wishes no services will be held. Memorials may be made to Patrician Home 1511 N. Bigelow Peoria, IL 61604.
