Obituary for Diane Ruth Baccheschi
Diane Ruth Baccheschi, 79, of Pekin passed away Thursday, March 28, 2024, at Carle Health Methodist in Peoria.
She was born June 24, 1944, in Peoria to Russell and Ruth Bryan Goodrich.
She married Robert Lee Baccheschi; he preceded her in death in June 2018. Her parents and brothers, Gary Bryan Goodrich Sr. and Richard Lee Goodrich also preceded her in death.
She is survived by her children, Kimm (Scott) Vaughn, Michelle M. Honeycutt, Sheri (Norman) McGill; grandchildren, Andrea (Tim) Moore, Hannah (Adam Sommer) Honeycutt, Holly (Timothy Miller) Honeycutt, Mitchell McGill, Ian (Brooke) McGill, Colin McGill, Miles (Samantha) McGill; three great-grandchildren and sister, Sharon (Roger) Hopper.
Diane worked as a nursing home administrator, and owner of The Place on Prince assisted living home until 2014.
She loved her family, worshipping at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church where she taught Sunday school and was treasurer for several years, and Trinity Lutheran Church. Diane loved taking care of members of the community in their golden years, crafting with her grandchildren, and cross stitching.
Services will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church in Pekin on Saturday, April 13, 2024. Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 and a service will follow.
Memorials may be made out to Michelle Honeycutt to assist with arrangements.
