Obituary for Dennis Sharpe
Dennis D. Sharpe, 75, of Chillicothe passed away Thursday, May 31, 2018 at UnityPoint Health Methodist in Peoria. He was born August 2, 1942 in Peoria to Howard F. and Virginia E. Everette Sharpe. He married Linda Harker; she preceded him in death in 2004. His parents and son, Jeremy Duane Sharpe also preceded him in death. He is survived by his daughter, Deann L. Sharpe; grandchildren, Rachel Sharpe, Katlyn Sharpe, William Clare; great-grandson, Elijah Kohler; step-children, Donna Wheeler, John Wheeler, James Wheeler; step-grandchildren, Emily Wheeler, Jacob Taylor, Tennesse Wheeler, Caroline Wheeler and devoted companion, Sally Woods. Dennis served in the U.S. Army and worked as a truck driver. He enjoyed fishing, camping, gardening and going to Texas. He loved his family and had many dear friends. Per his wishes cremation has been accorded and a celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 16, 2018 from 12 noon to 2 p.m. at the VFW in Chillicothe.
