Obituary for Dawn Breaden
Dawn R. Breaden, 70, of Pekin passed away on Monday, January 8, 2018 at UnityPoint Health Methodist in Peoria. She was born May 18, 1947 in Peoria. Her parents, Imogene and J.W. Brown preceded her in death. She is survived by her children, Michael A. Breaden of Carnegie, PA, Lori R. Lewis of Farmington, Mark D. (Kimberly) Breaden of Delavan; grandchildren, Kenneth (Taylor) Breaden, Connie Breaden, Ariel Breaden, Isaac Breaden, Jessica Lewis, Taylor Lewis, Ted Lewis and siblings, Diane (Dennis) Eye, Harry (Marie) Mervis, Jack (Barb) Mervis, Rita (Dennis) Adkins, J.W. (Cheryl) Brown and Tom Brown. Dawn worked as a clerk for the City of Pekin until retiring in 2012. She loved reading, sewing, needlepoint, camping, wood carving and traveling after her retirement. Cremation has been accorded and a celebration of life will be held on Monday, January 22, 2018 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Pekin at 12 noon. Pastor Bishop will officiate. Memorials may be made to the church in her name.
