Davy Gene Fitzgerald, 57, of Pekin passed away Wednesday, October 21, 2020 at Kindred Hospital in Peoria.
He was born September 11, 1963 in Pekin to Claude Gene and Ima Delay Fitzgerald. His parents and sister, Robin Fitzgerald preceded him in death.
He married Vickey S. Yeakel September 28, 1984 in Pekin; she survives. He is also survived by his children, Nicole (Jon) Patterson Sr., Jason (Jeni Shirley) Fitzgerald, Shawn (Lindsay Adkison) Fitzgerald, Brandon (Morgan Skelton) Fitzgerald; grandchildren, Tyson Thompson, Tanner Thompson, Tristen Strickfaden, Nolan Fitzgerald, Adalie Fitzgerald, Evie Fitzgerald, Maddox Fitzgerald, Hailey Patterson, Brooklyn Patterson, Layla Patterson, Mya Patterson and siblings, Rachel (Greg) Leeper, Veronica (Mike) Abbott, Betty Fitzgerald and many nieces and nephews.
Davy loved his family and was an awesome husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle. He always wanted his family to stay together. He loved to sing and play his guitar. He was known as “The Music Man”. He enjoyed fishing and camping.
Cremation has been accorded and services will be held at a later date.
