Obituary for David L. Van Natta
David L. Van Natta, 56, was called to his eternal home on Monday, March 13, 2017 surrounded by family in Tremont, IL after an 18 month battle with pancreatic cancer.
He entered this world on November 10, 1960 in Avon, IL, born to Kenneth and Joanne Gray-Van Natta. They preceded him in death.
He was also preceded in death by his sister, Deb Gerk. He is survived by his sisters Pat Deffebaugh and Cindy English; brother Kenneth M. Van Natta; wife Lisa Francis-Van Natta; sons Ty Van Natta, Cody (Melissa) Van Natta, Nashawn Webb and Keantae Miller; daughters Lacey (Eric) Cunningham, Grace (Tevontae) Abraham and Autumn Van Natta; and seven grandchildren.
David was a hardworking and dedicated family man. He worked for Vaughan & Bushnell Manufacturing Co. in Bushnell, IL for 16 years then worked at Caterpillar for 16 years before retiring. He was a lifelong Chicago Cubs fan and loved going to games with his family. In his free time, he enjoyed camping, fishing, and golfing.
Cremation rites have been accorded. A visitation will be held from 6:30-8:30 pm on Friday, March 24, at The Encounter Church, 800 Springfield Rd, East Peoria, IL. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contribution in honor of Dave are suggested to the Theresa Tracy Trot which supports pancreatic cancer research, mail to PO Box 2464 East Peoria, IL 61611.
