Obituary for David Falco
David D. Falco, 72, of Pekin passed away at his home, surrounded by loved ones, Tuesday, January 14, 2014. Dave was born April 27, 1941 in Herron, Illinois to Alene Wallace and Anthony Falco and then raised by Alene and Harold Potts. Dave married Mary Martindale November 14, 1988, she survives. Dave is also survived by his children: David Falco, Michael (Donna) Falco, Trisha Prescott, Nicole (Tim) Falco-Creech, sister Sherry Burroughs, 11 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Dave was preceded in death by his parents, step-father, twin brother Dennis Potts, sister Diane Potts, and stepson Eric Edgington. Dave was an avid drag racing enthusiast and spent many years racing with his family. He served in the US Army in the 60’s. He owned and operated D&D Speed and Machine for more than 20 years with his twin brother and friend Rich Budde. During this same time, he also owned and operated Midstate Dragway in Havana. He then went to work for Ivex of Peoria as the Assistant Plant Superintendent; he retired after 25 years of service. There will be no services for Dave; instead the family has decided to have a celebration of life. The celebration will be at the Pekin Boat Club in Pekin, IL, on Saturday January 18, 1PM till 5PM.
