Obituary for David Allen Sanderson
David Allen Sanderson, 76, of Chillicothe, IL passed away Saturday, October 24, 2020 at UnityPoint Health Methodist in Peoria, IL.
He was born November 29, 1943 in Chicago, IL to Henry and Matilda Reich Sanderson. His parents preceded him in death.
He married Shirley Lewis; she preceded him in death after 32 years of marriage.
He is survived by his brothers, George (Laura) Sanderson of Keenes, IL, Glen Sanderson of Aurora, CO; sister, Wilma “Sandy” (Dean) Gould of Elberta, AL; many nieces and nephews; grandchildren, Kyle Lovin, Kendra Southbloom; great-grandchild, Sullivan Southbloom and step-daughter, Kelly Lewis.
David was a member of Grandview Lodge #112 AF & AM of Illinois since February 1, 2000 where he served as Master in 2006. He was a 32° member of Scottish Rite Valley of Peoria since April 2000, joined the Mohammed Shrine Temple May 2000, also the Unit of Drill Patrol where he was President of the Patrol in 2014 and has been Veterans status since 2017. He retired from Caterpillar after 45 years of service.
Cremation has been accorded and a celebration of life will be held in the spring.
