Obituary for David A. Foster
David A. Foster, 75, of Bartonville passed away Tuesday, October 12, 2021, at UnityPoint Health Methodist in Peoria.
He was born August 5, 1946, in Peoria to Wilbur D. and Mary Jane Sefried Foster. His parents preceded him in death.
He married Patricia “Juanita” Pierce February 25, 1994, in Arkansas; she survives. He is also survived by his children, Derrick (Bonnie) Foster, David (Cindy) Foster, Melissa (Ross) Presswood; six grandchildren; siblings, Jimmy (Paulette) Foster, Stanley Foster, Sally (Gary) Burgess; special uncle, Don (Marjorie) Sefried and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
David served in the U.S. Army National Guard and worked as a plumber for Local 63. He volunteered for Rescue 33 in Chillicothe and at the American Red Cross for many years.
David loved fishing, hunting, yardwork, hunting for mushrooms and gardening. The family would like to give his cousin, Tim Sefried a special thank you.
Cremation has been accorded and a memorial visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 20, 2021, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Abts Mortuary 905 S. 5th Street, Pekin, IL 61554. Burial will be held at a later date.
Memorials may be made to the American Red Cross or an animal shelter of the donor’s choice in his name.
