Obituary for Darrell Wright
Darrell Thomas Wright, 63, of Peoria passed away Wednesday, December 6, 2017 in Peoria. He was born December 27, 1953 in Peoria to John W. and Ethel M. Venson Wright. His parents and brother, David Wright preceded him in death. He is survived by his sons, Nick (Kim) Wright, Nathan (Krystal) Wright; grandchildren, Jayden, Mason, Brendan, Olivia, Dylan, Easton, Cooper and Alexis; brother, Jerry (Barbara) Wright; sister, Marilyn Donley and many nieces and nephews. Darrell worked for Caterpillar as a Weld Engineer for 42 years; retiring in 2016. For the past 34 years he served as a Off Ice Official for the Peoria Rivermen. He was an avid Cardinals fan, Blues fan and Rivermen fan. He loved boating, but most of all he loved spending time with his grandchildren. Cremation has been accorded and a visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at Wilton Mortuary in Peoria from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Memorials may be made to Peoria Youth Hockey Association in his name.
