Obituary for Darrell Eugene Stout Sr.
Darrell Eugene Stout Sr. of Peoria passed away at 9:45 a.m. on Monday, August 9, 2021.
He was born on July 3, 1947, in Peoria to Margie and Percy Stout.
Surviving are his children, Dawn (Darren) Kohagen of Denver, CO, Darrell Jr. (Antoinette) Stout of Albuquerque, NM, and Mark Stout of Denver, CO; step-daughter, Teri (Matt) Wilson of Clinton, IL; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his mother; father; half sister, Marilyn Owens; and half brothers, Jack and Bill Slater.
Darrell was a member of the Honor Guard at Arlington National Cemetery and was a Vietnam combat veteran. He retired from Caterpillar after 32 years in the CIS Division. He was a commissioner on the board of the Hollis Park District for six years.
Darrell loved playing golf and riding motorcycles. He also loved his constant companion, Hershey.
A celebration of life luncheon will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday, August 13, at the Butler Haynes Park Pavilion, 9424 S. Mapleton Road, Mapleton.
