Obituary for Danny B. Sturdivant
Danny B. Sturdivant, 83, of Peoria passed away Friday, June 23, 2023, at his residence.
He was born February 26, 1940, in York, AL to Ross and Jessie Belle Nixon Sturdivant. His parents; son, Daniel Brian Sturdivant and brothers, LeRoy Sturdivant, Johnnie Lee Sturdivant, Jo Nathan Sturdivant, T.C. Sturdivant, William Sturdivant, and Thomas Sturdivant preceded him in death.
He married Penny S. De Cesari March 30, 1996, in Peoria; she survives. He is also survived by his daughter, Crystal Sturdivant-Woodley; grandchildren, Issac, Makayla; siblings, Floyd (Gladys) Sturdivant, Rosie Ruffin, Melvie Thomas and many nieces and nephews.
Danny worked as a self-employed carpet layer retiring in 2003.
He loved spending time with his family. He also loved hunting, fishing, and playing dominos.
Cremation has been accorded and a private celebration of life will be held.
