Obituary for Daniel Nelson
Daniel E. Nelson, 68, of Peoria passed away Monday, October 30, 2017 at his residence. He was born December 23, 1948 in Peoria to Edwin and Evelyn Demmin Nelson. He married Pamela L. Carlton December 23, 1992 in Peoria; she survives. He is also survived by his father; children, Dawn, Kelly and Corey Nelson; step-daughters, Connie (Kevin) Lohmann, Dawn Brackney; devoted friend, Lornie Test; many grandchildren; siblings, Sharon Johnston, Gerry (Sharon) Level, Joan (Bill) Pribble and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother and infant son, Daniel. Daniel served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He worked in roofing; retiring in 2002. He loved fishing, video poker and was an avid Chicago Cubs fan. Daniel was kind, helpful to all and was loved by many. He was a wonderful and loving husband and will be greatly missed. Cremation has been accorded and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
