Obituary for Dale Lacy Glatz
Dale Lacy Glatz, age 86, of Peoria was promoted to glory on Saturday, May 30, 2009 at 3:45 p.m. surrounded by her family. She was born June 23, 1922 in Chicago, Illinois, to Wayne and Anita Hassley Lacy. She married August William Glatz on January 13, 1946, in Springfield, IL. He passed away May 27, 1982. She is survived by one son, Jay (LeeAnn) Glatz of Peoria; two daughters, Debbie (Jon) Noetzel of Springfield, VA and Janet (Mike) McMullen of Leawood, KA; nine grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and her sister, Ruth Miner of Ft Lauderdale, FL. Dale attended Illinois State University and then lived in Peoria 63 years. She was a member of the Methodist Service League and the PEO chapter of Peoria. She actively served the Lord as a member of First Federated Church in Peoria. Her greatest joy and honor was being a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Tuesday June 9, at First Federated Church in Peoria. The Rev. Daren Hofmann will officiate. A visitation will also be held at the church on Monday June 8th from 5 to 7 p.m. Cremation has been accorded and a private burial of her cremains will take place at Swan Lake Cemetery. Memorials may be made to her church: First Federated Church, 3601 N. Sheridan Rd, Peoria, IL 61604 or a charity of the Donors choice. The Cremation Society of Mid-Illinois Co. Pekin/Peoria is assisting the family with arrangements.
