Obituary for Dale LaVerne Moore
Dale LaVerne Moore 72, of Peoria passed away on Monday August 25, 2008 at Heartland of Peoria. Born on April 26, 1936 in Peoria to Walter and Ada Lee Gann Moore. He married Eiko Hoshi in Tokyo, Japan on June 21, 1967, she preceded him in death on January 7, 2007. Also proceeding were his parents, and three brothers. Dale is survived by his children: Maria (Sami) Sweidam of Peoria, Steven (Maggie) Moore of AZ, Michael Moore of Peoria, sisters Velda Edenburn and Lela Josephson both of Peoria and his 5 grand and 9 step grandchildren. He served in the Army during Vietnam and worked as a Tuber Operator at Bemis Company, retiring in 1994. Cremation has been accorded and a celebration of life will be held at the home of his sister Velda Edenburn at 1416 W. Glen Ave. Peoria from 10 to 1 p.m. on Thursday Aug 28,.The Cremation Society of Mid Illinois Co. is assisting the family with arrangements. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
