Obituary for Cynthia Fender
Cynthia K. Fender, 64, of Peoria passed away Saturday, October 20, 2018 at UnityPoint Health Methodist in Peoria. She was born November 18, 1953 in Kirksville, MO to James and Carol Finnell Lloyd. Her parents; brother, Jack Fender and sister, Lisa Fender, preceded her in death.
She is survived by her children, Dawn (Tom) Schaeffer, Garner Bauer, Carl Bauer, Benton Bauer, Kyla Bauer; siblings, Louis (Lisa) Fender, Jennifer (Rich) Smith and grandchildren, Mason Schaeffer and Gabriel Schaeffer.
Cindy was an attorney, an avid reader, and loved a good debate. In difficult times, she maintained a deep faith and a wonderful sense of humor and was generous and kind to those with less. She worried constantly about her children and prayed for their happiness. Her keen intelligence and a sharp wit often masked a compassionate and sensitive soul who will be missed by family and friends. Cremation has been accorded and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
