Obituary for Colleen D. Whitmer
Colleen D. Whitmer, 65, of Hanna City passed away Monday, May 29, 2023, at Carle Health Methodist Hospital in Peoria.
She was born January 24, 1958, in Peoria to Milton and Cherida Burchell Wernsman.
She married Clyde D. Whitmer October 1, 2005, in Farmington; he preceded her in death March 1, 2014. Her parents and grandson, Seth Whitmer also preceded her in death.
She is survived by her children, April Humphrey, Susan (Mark) Wang, Tony Whitmer, Julie Schisler, Steven Whitmer, Robert Whitmer, Jennie (John) Alt; ten grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and sister, Marleen Pelham.
Colleen loved her family and Key West. She enjoyed crafting, ceramics, and sea turtles.
Cremation has been accorded and private services will be held.
