Clifton H. Summers, 76, of Washington passed away Sunday, February 22, 2026, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
He was born on November 26, 1949, in Hickman, KY to Harlan and Thelma Summers. His parents; daughter, Kelly Summers and sister, Mary Helen Williams preceded him in death.
Clifton married Marilyn “Jeanie” Jean Heller on November 18, 1979; she survives. He is also survived by his children, Magan (Aaron) Jennings, Adam Lee Summers; grandchildren, Breanna (Kile Boyle) Summers, Quincy (Allie Hobbs) Summers, Hayden Summers; great-grandchild, Aurora Summers-Boyle and sister, Peggy (Wayne) Cumby.
Clifton worked for Caterpillar until he retired in 2004.
He loved his family, especially his grandchildren. His family was his life. He also loved animals, especially his dogs. Clifton enjoyed riding his Harley, camping, fishing and filming with his camcorder.
Cremation has been accorded and no services will be held.
