Clarence Elmore Keller 85, of Washington formally of East Peoria and Pekin passed away on Tuesday September 8, 2009 at Pekin Manor. Born in Pekin on December 24, 1923 to Clarence and Sarah Belle Foley Keller. He married Marjorie Barnewolt in Peoria on September 9

1956; she preceded him in death on January 3, 1989. He then married Margaret VanPelt McKinney in Washington on March 2, 1991, she preceded him in death on February 23, 2004. His son Dennis also preceded him in death. Elmore is survived by his stepchildren Deanna K. Little of Albuquerque, NM, Roy C. McKinney Jr. of La Crosse, WI, step grandchildren Anthony Little II, Elizabeth Little and a host of cousins. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII and graduated from Bradley University. Elmore worked at Caterpillar as an Accountant, retiring in March of 1988 and was a member of the German American Society, Caterpillar Retirees Club and Faith Lutheran Church in Washington. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. at Abts Mortuary in Pekin on Friday September 11, Rev. John Rothfusz will officiate. Burial will be in Lutheran Cemetery in Peoria. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in his name to Faith Lutheran Church 2206 Washington Rd. Washington, IL 61571. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Abts Mortuary.
