Pekin - Clara E. Rivord 94, of Timber Creek Rehab Center formally of 14030 Mennonite Church Rd. Pekin passed away on Thursday December 13, 2007 at Pekin Hospital. Born in Pekin on June 23, 1913 to Bernie and Carrie Cochenaur Pfeiffer, she married Merle F. Rivord on January 3, 1942 in Palmyies, MO, he preceded her on January 3, 1970 along with her son Nelson Mancini and sisters; Lorraine, Loretta and Bernice. Clara is survived by her daughters; Toni (Bill) Benner of Pekin, Judy (John) Seipel of Wichita Falls, TX, brother Gerald (Gay) Pfeiffer of Gamila, AR, 9 grand, 14 great grand and 4 great great grandchildren. Clara was a Table Lady at American Distillery for 10 years, a Cook at A & W for 11 years and a Homemaker, retiring in 1980. She was a member of the Moose Lodge and enjoyed all of her children and grandchildren, loved gardening, canning, reading, Domino’s, Dice and cards. A funeral will be held for Clara on Monday December 17, at 11 a.m. with visitation one hour prior to the service at Abts Mortuary. Burial will follow at Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin. Memorials may be made in her name to Bethel Mennonite Church, 18443 IL Rt 9 Pekin. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Abts Mortuary Pekin.
