Obituary for Cindy Toumbs
Cynthia “Cindy” Lynn Toumbs, 53, of Washington passed away Saturday May 26, 2012 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. She was born September 9, 1958 in Peoria to Elmo and Lois Wirth Toumbs. She is survived by her partner, Terri Stone; sister, Sandy Toumbs; brother, Tom Toumbs; special friends, Kim Reeves, Shenoa Dutton and a host of friends and family. She loved completely and with her whole heart, whether you be human, pet, or penguin. She loved to play softball, bowl, karaoke, and hang out with friends and family. Monetary riches were not her aim in life but rather the memories she made and leaves behind. Cremation has been accorded and a Celebration of Life will take place at the Peoria Universalist Unitarian Church, 3000 N. Richwoods Blvd., Peoria, IL 61604 on Sunday June 3, 2012 at 4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cindy Toumbs Memorial Fund at Central Illinois Bank. Burial of Cremains will be at a later date at Fondulac Cemetery in East Peoria.
