Obituary for Chris Smith
Chris R. Smith, 52, of Canton passed away on Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at Unity Point Health Methodist in Peoria. He was born April 11, 1962 in Canton to Lyle and Joyce Bushnell Smith. He is survived by his children, Christopher and Tyler Smith both of Norris; one grandchild; mother, Joyce E. Bull of Canton; father, Lyle D. Smith of Canton and sister, Laura Howarter of Canton. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Francis Bushnell and Clyde and Marie Smith. Chris was a very dedicated and hard worker; he last worked for Haggerty Steel for 17 years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and four wheeling. Per his wishes cremation has been accorded and no services will be held. The burial of his cremains will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to Make A Wish Foundation in his name.
