Charles “Chuck” Preston Mitchell, 50, of Peoria passed away Monday, January 11, 2021 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
He was born August 8, 1970 in Los Angeles, CA.
His was preceded in death by his father, Charles Martin Mitchell; grandparents, Preston Mitchell, Vernice Hoesli, Joseph B. Hurt, Helen Hurt and son, Corey Hittle.
He is survived by his mother, Inez Christine Hurt, Krulac; stepfather, Lonnie Thomas; daughter, Christine Inez Mitchell; stepdaughter, Lydia N. Dungeron; sister, Linda R. Mitchell Thomson; brother, Joseph M. (Hillarie) Mitchell; nieces, Lydia N. Legan, Madison Mitchell; nephews, Matthew D. Thomson, Blake Mitchell; great-nephew, Jace M. Thomson and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Chuck worked at Bellevue Tap as a cook. He was a huge Kansas City Chiefs fan. He was loved by everyone he knew and would meet. Chuck definitely had his own sense of humor and always kept us laughing, even when you were feeling down. He will truly be missed by all our family and his friends.
Cremation has been accorded and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
