Obituary for Catherine Scott
Catherine Scott 66, of 2401 N. Gale Ave Apt Q2, Peoria, died at 1:30 p.m. Thursday Nov. 27, 2008 at Methodist Medical center in Peoria. She battled with chronic renal failure for the past 10 years. Catherine was born Feb. 2, 1942 in Proctor Arkansas, the daughter of Curley and Ida Mae Baker. She married James Scott on Sept. 9, 1962. He preceded her in death. Surviving are five daughters, Kimberly (Paul) Jackson, Jane Scott, Lynn Scott and Sandra Scott all of Peoria, and Patricia Scott of South Carolina, and one son, James (Rosa) Scott of South Carolina. She had three grandchildren, Paul Jackson, Brittany Jones and Diamond Ward, all of Peoria. Also surviving are two sisters, Florida Parker of Peoria, and Elicia Baker of Michigan, and one brother, Willie Baker of Peoria. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, and one sister. Catherine’s family was very important to her. She was a kind and loving person and will be deeply missed by family and friends. She attended the Parkside Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses and was well-known for her zeal in helping others learn Bible truths. A memorial service will be held at the Kingdom Hall Jehovah’s Witnesses at 1521 N. Park Road on Sunday November 30, at 6:30 p.m. The Cremation Society of Mid-Illinois Co. is assisting the family with arrangements.
