Carrol L. Yancey, 86, of Creve Coeur passed away Saturday, July 23, 2022, at his residence.
He was born June 10, 1936, in Peach Orchard, MO to Charles and Gladys Reynolds Yancey. His parents; sister, Barbara Yancey; brothers, Doyn Yancey, James Lloyd Yancey and daughter, Barbara (William) Bodine preceded him in death.
He married Sondra L. Booth in Green County, AR; she survives. He is also survived by his children, Bonnie Yancey, Beverly Thompson, Bernice (Pat) Quinn, Charlotte (Howard) Look, Irvin (Lynn) Yancey; grandchildren, Miranda Look, Jackie Quinn, Michael Bodine, Ashley Thompson, Christian Look, Scott Quinn, Taylor Yancey, Jared Yancey; great-grandchildren, Preston Look, Kaileen Quinn, Alivia Quinn, Damian Thompson, Xander Wage, Damien Bodine and sister, Glenda (J) Adams.
Carrol worked for F. Meyer Brothers/Acme Manufacturing/Standex retiring November 3, 2005. He worked in sheet metal for 50 years. He was a member of Sheet Metal Union #2.
Carrol loved woodworking, his church, and his family. For his private pleasure he played guitar.
He was a member of East Peoria Church of the Nazarene 1325 Meadow Ave., East Peoria, IL 61610, where a memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 28, 2022.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the church in his name.
