Carl Everett Lair, 74, of Peoria, IL passed away Saturday, June 21, 2014 at his residence. He was born February 18, 1940 in Peoria, IL to Merlin and Emily King Lair. He married Peggy Martin November 29, 1959 in Fairfield, IL. She survives along with his children, Rebecca Lair Bergman of Braidwood, IL, Charles Lair of Creve Coeur, IL, Laurie Lair of Peoria Heights, IL, Michael Lair of Peoria, IL, Scott Lair of Peoria, IL; siblings, George Lair of Colorado City, CO, William Lair of Linden, TN, Janet Elam of Washington, IL; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and his dog, Joe. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Charles Lair and sisters, Susan Lair Kellems and Leeda Lair. Carl worked for Pabst Brewing Co. for 24 years and Loaders Croklaan for 24 years retiring in 2006. Cremation has been accorded and private family services will be held.
