Obituary for Carl Dayle Riebling
Carl Dayle Riebling 89, of East Peoria passed away on Monday December 29, 2008 at ManorCare Health Services in Peoria. Born in Astoria on March 5, 1919 to Carl and Lilly Stanbaugh Riebling. He married Violet V. Hale in Henry, she preceded him in death in May of 2005. He is survived by his son Carl D. Riebling Jr. of Birmingham, AL, brothers Wayne (Phyllis) of Florida and Max (Betty) of Arkansas. His brother Byron and sister Lucille preceded him in death. Dayle was a Tavern owner, owning Puff for 8 years and Mother’s for 10 years both in Peoria. He served in the Army during WWII at the Battle of the Bulge under General Patton. Cremation has been accorded and no services will be held. The Cremation Society of Mid-Illinois Co. Pekin/Peoria is assisting the family with arrangements.
