Cainen M. Baker, 34, of Pekin passed away on Sunday August 9, 2009 at Pekin Hospital. Born in Pekin to Larry and Shannon Crady Baker on December 11, 1974. He is survived by his father Larry (Lavida) Baker of Ira, TX, mother Shannon (Cameron) Dreyer of Killeen, TX, wife Jessica Buttrum of Pekin, children; Dakota Baker of Lubbock, TX, Cainen M. Baker II and Makenvie Baker both of Pekin, brother Justin Baker of Pekin, maternal grandmother Frances Crady of Pekin and paternal grandfather Edwin Baker of Monticello, KY. His paternal grandmother Fern Baker and maternal grandfather Charles Crady preceded him in death. Cainen was a graduate of Pekin Community High School and was of the Christian faith. He worked as a Cook at Beerbelly’s in Pekin and was the Drummer for the band Switchback. He loved his family and his second love was music. A visitation will be held on Thursday August 13, at Abts Mortuary from 11 to 2 p.m. Graveside services and burial will be private. Memorials may be made to his children at Herget Bank. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Abts Mortuary.
