Obituary for Brice Woodmancy
Brice A. “Woody” Woodmancy 76, of Peoria passed away on Sunday October 17, 2010 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. Born in Madison, SD to Harry and Freda Keiser Woodmancy on December 26, 1933. He married Phyllis “Lucy” Abraham in Ft. Lauderdale, FL on April 1, 1994, she survives. Also surviving are his brother Lorris (Mary Lou) Woodmancy of Bartonville, children: Jamie Mabis of Peoria Heights, James (Laura) Tessem of Bartonville, Robert Tessem and Toby Tessem both of Peoria, Christina Tessem of East Peoria, grandchildren: Jessica, Katelyn, Stephanie, Samantha, Max, Savannah, Jimmy, Corey, Courtney and Miranda, nephews Rusty and Ty and nieces Theresa and Sherry. His parents preceded him in death. He graduated from Manuel High School in 1952, served in the Air Force during the Korean War and retired from Caterpillar in 1989 after 30 years working as a Machinist. He was a member of the Elks Lodge # 20 in Peoria, Eagles Lodge # 265 in Peoria and was a member of the Peoria Bowling Association. A funeral service will be held at Abts Mortuary in Pekin at 6 p.m. on Wednesday October 20, with visitation two hours prior to the service.
