Obituary for Brenda J. Linton
Brenda J. Linton, 68, of Peoria passed away Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
She was born July 11, 1952 in Pocahontas, AR to Osa and Jesse Strange.
She married Charles W. Linton Sr. April 20, 1991; he preceded her in death December 11, 2014. She was also preceded in death by her parents; brother, Don Strange and sisters, Phyllis Lawson and Betty Strange.
She is survived by her children, Scott (Marianne) Cleaver, Larry (Belinda) Ratledge, Michelle Ratledge, Jessica Linton; six grandchildren; brother, Steve Strange and many nieces and nephews.
Brenda loved her family and she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and traveling with her late husband. She was an avid reader and in a loving manner she was referred to as the “General”.
Cremation has been accorded and a memorial visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 16, 2021 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Abts Mortuary in Pekin, IL.
