Obituary for Billy F. Taylor
Billy F. Taylor, 74, of Pekin passed away Monday, August 23, 2021, at UnityPoint Health Methodist in Peoria.
He was born January 18, 1947, in Troy, TN to Ellis and Bernice Mayberry Taylor. His parents; brothers, Arnold Taylor, Bobby Taylor, Gerald Taylor, Kenny Taylor and sisters, Patty Schlottman and Linda Sue Taylor preceded him in death.
He married Peggy J. Wilson October 11, 1968, in Pekin; she survives. He is also survived by his son, William (Sherry) Taylor; sister, Catherine Deterts and brother, David Taylor.
Billy served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and worked for Caterpillar retiring in 1999.
Billy loved his family especially his grand dog, Gabby. He also loved fishing, camping, traveling and dirt track racing. Billy was the life of the party and was very outspoken. He could fix anything that was broken.
Cremation has been accorded and no services will be held.
