Obituary for Billie Rickena
Billie E. Rickena, 83, of Mapleton passed away Tuesday October 30, 2012 at Methodist Medical Center in Peoria. She was born December 3, 1928 in Peoria to Ohmer and Elvira Bertha Morain Bartholomew. She married Charles E. Rickena January 21, 1949 in Peoria. He survives along with her son, David (Tracy) Rickena of Mapleton; daughter, Nancy (James) Hornbaker of Peoria; grandchildren, Angela Hornbaker, Jeremy Hornbaker, Wesley (Val) Rickena; great-granddaughters, Gabriel Shurman, Paige Rickena and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; six brothers and six sisters. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Cremation has been accorded and a graveside service will be held Wednesday November 7, 2012 at Swan Lake Cemetery in Peoria at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to donor’s choice.
