Obituary for Betty Spreen
Betty Lea Spreen 87, of Peoria passed away Thursday February 10, 2011 at Heartland of Peoria. She was born September 21, 1923 to Jerry and Lelia Black Wilcoxen in Lewistown, IL. She married Francis Spreen October 3, 1998 in Peoria. He preceded her in death January 5, 2004. She was also preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her sons; George (Sharon) Hinchliffe of Placida, FL, Dennis VanHook of Great Falls, MT, daughter; Patti Renwick-Parrish of Peoria, IL, daughter-in-Law; Julie Lucas of Peoria, IL and brother; Robert Wilcoxen of Washington, IL. She is also survived by her 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Betty was a secretary for Caterpillar retiring June 1, 1985. She was a member of the Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church in Peoria where a Memorial Service will be held Thursday February 17, 2011 at 11 am with a visitation one hour prior. Cremation has been accorded. Memorials may be made to the church.
