Obituary for Betty Mogged
Betty Jean Mogged, 82, of Bartonville, IL passed away Sunday, March 3, 2013 at Methodist Medical Center in Peoria, IL. She was born April 2, 1930 in Maquoketa, IA to Arthur and Edith Barnett Shaw. She married Harvey Mogged September 8, 1951 in Peoria, IL. He survives along with her daughters, Cathy Ann (Dennis) Emerson of Monroe, TN, Carol Marie (Thomas) Stagg of Bartonville, IL, Connie Sue Haddick of Brimfield, IL; son, Craig (Belinda) Mogged of Peoria, IL; sister, Hazel Dornbush of Clinton, IL; brother, Charles (Susie) Shaw of Peoria, IL and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers; one sister and one granddaughter. Betty was of the Presbyterian faith. She was a member of the Illinois Women’s Federation of Women’s Clubs where she was the Art Chairwomen for several years. She was also a member of the Peoria Art Guild and active in Girl Scouts. Cremation has been accorded and services will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to the Peoria Art Guild in her name.
