Obituary for Betty Bowers
Betty Delores Bowers, 83, of East Peoria passed away Wednesday March 7, 2012 at Fondulac Rehab in East Peoria. She was born May 18, 1928 in Bloomington to Tom and Ethel Baker. She is survived by her children, Gary D. (Cheryl J. Walters) Bowers of Peoria Heights, Kenneth Lynn (Pam) Bowers of East Peoria, Terry L. (Donna) Bowers of Pekin; twelve grandchildren, twenty five great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Lee Bowers, he passed on January 1, 2008; sons, Ricky L. Bowers and Steven Kevin Bowers; three brothers and two sisters. Betty was a loving mother and grandmother. A graveside service will be held Friday March 16, 2012 at Lakeside Cemetery in Pekin at 2:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
