Bernie D. Lunsford Jr., 56, of Washburn passed away Friday, January 29, 2021 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
He was born July 28, 1964 in Abilene, KS to Bernie D. and Celia Brumm Lunsford Sr. His mother and grandparents preceded him in death.
He married Theresa M. Williams January 17, 1987 in Peoria; she survives. He is also survived by his children, Jennifer (Issac) Gufaston, Leann Lunsford, Bernie Lunsford III, Jessica Lunsford; grandchildren, Braydien, Jaydien; father, Bernie D. Lunsford Sr.; siblings, Brenda McConnaghey, Shannon McConnaghey, John Lunsford, Shara Lunsford, Tacha Gregory and many nieces and nephews.
Bernie worked as a mechanic until retiring in 2000. He loved his family and enjoyed fishing, camping, hunting, working on cars and spending time with his friends. He was always willing to help others. He had a heart of gold. Bernie was a fighter through all his sickness.
Cremation has been accorded and a celebration of life will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, February 6, 2021 at Oak Grove Church of the Brethren in Low Point, IL.
