Obituary for Barbara Darlene Miller
Barbara Darlene Miller, 81, of Pekin passed away Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at UnityPoint Health Pekin.
She was born May 7, 1939 in Pekin to Harry A. and Myrtle Mae Howard Carman.
She married Willis Gardner and he preceded her in death in 1973 and she later married Wilbur Miller and he preceded her in death in 1992. Her parents; grandson, Dustin B. Thomas and sister, Claudette Krider also preceded her in death.
She is survived by her children, Julie Reed, Terry L. Gardner, Lori Justus, David (Jennifer) Gardner, Jason Miller; stepdaughter, Marcella Wagner and grandchildren, Nathan J. Thomas, Matthew Reed, Willie J. Justus (Kaela Bright), Caleb Crigger, Brady Goulding, Cole Clark, Joshua Thomas and dear niece, Venessia (Kim) Harris.
Barbara worked as a CNA for Methodist Hospital retiring in 2012. She loved her family and enjoyed gardening, cooking, baking, and playing slots. She was dedicated to caring for her patients and those who needed her help. She was the “World’s Greatest Mom”.
Cremation has been accorded and a celebration of life will be held on Saturday, February 13, 2021 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Grace Baptist Church in Pekin, IL corner of 14th and Derby.
