Obituary for Audrey Ann Shaw
Audrey Ann Shaw 78, of Peoria, transcended with our savior; to reside in the house of the Lord at 4:50 AM Monday, December 15, 2014 from the Unity Point Methodist Hospital in Peoria.
She was born May 26, 1936 in Pope County, IL to Rev. Abraham and Fredonia Modglin. Preceded in death by both parents, 2 infant brothers, Charles; Ronnie Modglin, and beloved son Michael Ray Shaw.
Surviving are her sons, Anthony (Andrea) Shaw; Robert (Raina) Shaw; daughters, Cindy Menchaca; and Beth (Kevin) Biggs. Grandchildren David (Stephanie) Shaw; Daniel Shaw; Corrie Motteler; Emily Schap; John Menchaca; Casey Shaw; Brooke Shaw. Great Grandchildren, Vanessa Shaw; Ashley Motteler; Thomas Motteler; and Seth Shaw. Siblings, Jim (Joyce) Modglin; Bill (Nancy) Modglin; Diane Plants; Bob Modglin; Rich (Jennifer)
Modglin; Brenda (Bill) White; Doug Modglin; Sandra (Denny) Gaal; and Scott (Rebecca) Modglin.
Family meant the world to Audrey. She spent her life helping others and taking care of her family. Her extended family grew working as a surgical technician at Proctor Hospital in Peoria for 35 years. She had a one-of-a-kind witty sense of humor that everyone loved.  She enjoyed golf, horseback riding, meetings with the Red Hat Society, and was a member of the Southern Baptist Church of Golconda, IL.
Visitation will be from 1-3 PM Saturday, December 20, 2014 at Abts Mortuary in Pekin. Cremation rites will follow the visitation. Memorial donations may be made to T.A.P.S No-Kill Animal Shelter of Pekin, IL.
